About RoboCupJunior Singapore RoboCupJunior Singapore is sub-committee under RoboCup Singapore National Committee. The mission of RoboCupJunior Singapore is to support the international RoboCupJunior initiative in Singapore. RoboCupJunior Singapore organizes and sponsors local, regional and international project-oriented educational robotic events for young students up through the age of 19 in Singapore. RoboCupJunior Singapore introduces and promotes activities related RoboCupJunior to primary and secondary school children in Singapore, as well as polytechnic students and undergraduates below 19 years of age. The focus of the RoboCupJunior Singapore lies in education. RoboCupJunior aims to provide an exciting introduction to the field of robotics, a new way to develop technical abilities through hands-on experience with electronics, hardware and software, and a highly motivating opportunity to learn about teamwork while sharing technology with friends to young students in Singapore. RoboCupJunior Singapore organizes robotic competition based on challenges in RoboCupJunior for young participants in Singapore in conjunction with the annual RoboCup Singapore Open. RoboCupJunior Singapore also serves as a selection panel for selecting teams that will represent Singapore to take part in the various challenges in the international RoboCupJunior competition each year. In addition, RoboCupJunior Singapore also organizes outreach programs that offer participants the chance to take part in international exchange programs and to share the experience of meeting peers from abroad. Mission Statement The mission of the RoboCupJunior Singapore is to focus on promoting creative and innovative educational robotics activities in Singapore youth landscape and create a unique brand globally for Singapore’s educational robotics curriculum towards establishing Singapore as a regional hub for educational robotics sector.
